Description

Our JIE courses are structured in three-day modules and designed to cover the relevant legislation and the exam syllabus in depth. We include detailed notes to aid learning and revision, and we also look at practical issues faced when taking appointments, current issues in insolvency and the impact of recent judicial decisions.

Our programme also includes two mock exams, which we will mark and return with individual written comments on technical ability and exam technique. We also provide individual coaching and support self-study throughout the year and run weekly online revision sessions in the weeks leading to the exams.

Candidates will be examined on legislation in force as at 30 April 2024.

Becoming a JIE Student

Candidates require to register as a student with a Recognised Professional Body (RPB) of their choice. Contact the relevant RPB for more details. On successful completion of both exams, candidates may then apply to the RPB for their licence, subject to their requirements for membership and authorisation. Successful completion of one exam allows an application for Partial Licensing.

The Exam

The exam is structured in two papers: Corporate and Personal. This aligns the exam with the Partial Licence options now available. You can choose to sit one or both papers in any sitting.

Candidates need to enrol for the exam through their RPB. Contact the RPB for details or check https://jieb.co.uk. Exam entries need to be submitted by mid-September 2024 at the latest, for an exam diet in early November 2024.

Cost

Please note that Day 1 and Day 2 of Module 1 Foundations are optional depending on a candidate’s experience and prior qualifications. Each individual day’s training is priced at £350 + VAT. The Full Personal Only course price is stated excluding these days.

Personal Paper Only: 14 days £4,500 + VAT

If you are sitting Personal following an exam pass in Corporate, there is no need to re-attend Module 1 Foundations Day 3 or Module 6 Cross Procedural, unless you wish to do so. In either scenario, the price is:

Personal only as second paper: 10 days £3,500 + VAT
(If you wish to book as a second paper, please email courses@insolvencysupportservices.com)

Fees include all course documentation, lunch and light refreshments.
